将万向传动装置（传动轴）传来的发动机动力（转矩）通过主减速器、差速器、半轴等传递到驱动车轮，实现降速、增矩的功用。

通过主减速器圆锥齿轮副（传动副）改变转矩的传递方向。

多功能搅拌车搅拌车驱动桥的组成及工作原理：

The composition and working principle of the drive axle of the multi-functional mixer truck are as follows:

驱动桥分为断开式和非断开式两种。中、大型搅拌车一般采用非断开式驱动桥，由主减速器、差速器、半轴和驱动桥壳等部分组成，动力从变速器--传动轴--主减速器----差速器--左、右半轴（外端凸缘盘法兰）--轮毂（轮毂在半轴套管上转动）--轮胎轮辋（钢圈）。驱动桥通过悬架系统与车架相连，由于半轴与桥壳是刚性连成一体的，因此半轴和驱动轮不能在横向平面运动。故称这种驱动桥为非断开式驱动桥，亦称整体式驱动桥。

The drive axle is divided into two types: open type and non break type. Medium and large-scale mixers generally adopt non split drive axle, which is composed of main reducer, differential, half shaft and drive axle housing. The power is from transmission, transmission shaft, main reducer, differential, left and right axle shaft (flange of outer flange), wheel hub (wheel hub rotates on axle sleeve tube) - tire rim (steel ring). The drive axle is connected with the frame through the suspension system. Because the axle shaft and the axle housing are rigidly connected, the axle shaft and the driving wheel cannot move in the transverse plane. Therefore, this kind of drive axle is called non breaking drive axle, also known as integral drive axle.

为了提高搅拌车行驶的平顺性和通过性，有些轿车和越野车全部或部分驱动轮采用独立悬架，即将两侧的驱动轮分别采用弹性悬架与车架相联系，两轮可彼此独立地相对车架上、下跳动。榆次相应主减速器固定在车架上。驱动桥半轴支撑两段并通过铰链连接，这种驱动桥称为断开式驱动桥。
