驱动桥分为断开式和非断开式两种。中、大型搅拌车一般采用非断开式驱动桥,由主减速器、差速器、半轴和驱动桥壳等部分组成,动力从变速器--传动轴--主减速器----差速器--左、右半轴(外端凸缘盘法兰)--轮毂(轮毂在半轴套管上转动)--轮胎轮辋(钢圈)。驱动桥通过悬架系统与车架相连,由于半轴与桥壳是刚性连成一体的,因此半轴和驱动轮不能在横向平面运动。故称这种驱动桥为非断开式驱动桥,亦称整体式驱动桥。
